This Valentine’s Day, it’s time to turn your cocktail making skills up to a ten with a little help from your friends at Eau Claire Distillery. Impress your sweetie with these four delicious, simple to make cocktails using our Flourish Gin and Cherry Gin.
Very Cherry Gin and Tonic Recipe
Gin might not always be the answer, but this Valentine’s Day it’s worth a shot, or two! To make, you’ll need:
1.5oz Cherry Gin
3 cocktail cherries (or preserved Amarena cherries)
2 tbsp fresh blueberries
Juice of half a lime
Lime round, to garnish
Tonic water, to top
Ice
To make: Skewer a cocktail cherry and a few blueberries on a cocktail pick and set aside.
Muddle remaining cherries and blueberries in a cocktail tin with the lime juice and cherry gin. Strain into a Copa de Balon or large Burgundy red wine glass filled with cubed ice. Top off with tonic water and lightly stir. Garnish with cocktail pick and lime round, serve and enjoy!

Garden Bramble
The ground may be covered in snow right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring some spring time flavour to your drink. To make, you’ll need:
1.75oz Flourish Gin
0.75oz Fresh Lemon Juice
0.5oz Simple Syrup (you can play around with flavoured syrup, such as mint or rosemary)
1 Handful of Fresh Berries
To make: Combine the ingredients in an shaker and muddle the berries. Add ice, shake and strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice or cubes. Garnish with more fresh berries and a sprig of mint or other fresh herb.
Cherry Gin Sour
This cocktail screams “I love you” with its delicious cherry flavour and deep red colour. To make, you’ll need:
1.5oz Cherry Gin
1oz Lemon Juice
1oz Simple Syrup
3 drops Peychaud’s Bitters
1 Egg White
To make: combine all ingredients into a shaker. Shake hard for 40-60 seconds to emulsify. Strain into glass and remove ice from the shaker; then add liquid ingredients back in for a dry shake (another 40 seconds), strain into coupe glass. Enjoy!
Raspberry Jammer
This cocktail is simple to make, but packed full of flavour. A wonderful combination of lemon, raspberry jam with our botanically rich Flourish Gin. To make, you’ll need:
1.75oz Flourish Gin
5 teaspoons Raspberry Jam
0.5oz Fresh Lemon Juice
0.25oz Simple Syrup (or to taste)
To make: combine the ingredients in an ice-filled shaker. Shake and double strain into ice filled rocks glass. Garnish with lemon wheel and a sprig of fresh thyme!
