Cask Series Whisky: Tawny Port

Our Tawny Port Cask Release layers Eau Claire Distillery's distinctive single malt with the sun-drenched character of Portugal's legendary Douro Valley port casks.

Tawny Port matured for years in casks before the wood ever sees our whisky, adding to the oak a concentrated richness of dried fruit, roasted nut, and gentle sweetness. After five years of aging in ex-bourbon casks in the mountain air of Turner Valley, the spirit is finished for an additional three years in these seasoned port casks, where the final character takes shape. Bottled at 46.5% ABV, this limited release delivers dark fruit, caramel warmth, and a long, evolving finish.

From Farm to Glass

Every one of our small batch whiskies is produced using barley we grow and harvest ourselves. Unlike most distilleries, we raise our whisky from seed and see it through to round, complex and balanced drops.
